This Vision Scientific VME0007-B-100-LD high quality binocular compound microscope comes with a pair of 10x widefield eyepieces with a pointer, and a pair of 25x widefield eyepieces. The siedentopt head has 48 to 75 mm interpupillary adjustment. The 40xR and 100xR objectives are retractable and spring-loaded to prevent damage to slides and objectives when focusing. Brightfield LED illumination illuminates the specimen from below, making the specimen appear bright, but much darker than the bright background. This allows the darker specimen to be contrasted by the surrounding bright viewing field. 1.25 NA Abbe condenser with iris diaphragm for precise light control to match with the objective in use.
